Mumbi Kuguru

Originally born and raised in Kenya, and now based in the Netherlands, the half-Kenyan, half-
Singaporean Mumbi Kuguru is a multi-faceted actress in both film and theater, singer, and
dancer. Her past works include various films like Roundhouse and Echoes of Redemption and a repertoire of plays from Aaron Sorkin’s Hidden in this Picture to Tennessee William’s A Streetcar Named Desire, to William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Nothing gives Mumbi more fulfillment than the challenge of discovering who a character is and bringing them to life, from script to screen.
